Ross Brawn caught speeding in a Merc.

Oh no! 100mph in a modern car on an A road... what was he thinking?

Execute him.

I've never seen the A30 clear enough to get above 45mph!

I got busted for speeding on the A30 at the Merrymeet roundabout some years ago ..... 96 in a 70 limit ( i was hard on the brakes at the time as well :o:crazy: , i was silly when i was young .... ) ...

Got a £40 fine and 3 points ....

Maybe we should have spent more time on road craft and less on race strategy...:o

Such shoddy reporting... doesn't even tell us what model he was in.

Cryptically referred to as a "MERCEDES ROAD CAR" presumably to differentiate from a McLaren single seater.

A30 Northbound near Cullompton - had a youthful 106mph slip in 1990 which cost me a fine and a 28 day ban. Lesson learnt.

Never pulled over but the hire company whose car it was called me the next day telling me I'd been a naughty boy

Used to nip down to Cornwall on a regular basis when I had a '98 plate E class (W210?)..E240....there is a lovely long stretch with just a downhill gradient....wont say what I did ..but enough to say I am embarrassed now about it...

On way home had this t*t in a rover keep passing me at high speed then slowing down .....so I would pass him. As we approached the Exeter turn off he slowed down again and I passed him..only for him to put on blue lights in his grill and give me a wave, then turn off.....had to check trousers weren't brown..

Let me guess that it wasn't a basic A class.............. :)

........unless the designation was followed by M and G and had more cylinders than doors.

The A Class was good enough for Hakinnen and Coulthard and is certainly capable of the speed quoted. ;)
