Car
E270 cdi Avantgarde; Wifes car Yellow VW Beetle (new shape)
Car was towed away this morning by Mobilo as the battery failed again and wouldn't even jump start. needs to be diagnosed.

On a positive note they have let me have a brand new (800 miles) S320 cdi complete with Navigation/Command and AMG wheels!

Well done Mobilo

Marc

Nice - enjoy! I had a brand new - only 30 delivery miles - S class 320 cdi as a hire car last year. Had all the toys too. I loved it!!

Also threw an S class around Croft circuit - that was nice

Have a ball in it - it's truly lovely car.

Sorry your own is poorly tho - hope they get it sorted - but maybe not too quickly 'eh? ;)

I would have insisted on an A-class Classic, what a cheek. :D

It certainly must have taken some of the sting out of your car letting you down.

Good luck,
John

Many moon ago I purchased a brand new ford fiesta,on the day of collection it was not ready...so the sale guy apologised and lent me his brand new XR2i :D 1989 ....in white with blue trim ..I went miles got really used to the power......what a pity I had to pick up my 998cc lx that very afternoon ...I had a face like a slapped **** when I left the showroom...it went like slug :(

Hmm, wonder if there is a fuse in mine that I can remove so it won't start.... :D

Mercedes gave me a S 320 cdi for a loan I loved it might just buy one of the new ones when they come out later in the year.

Well Ive given my S320CDI in several time and only got a Smart out of them, I was lucky once they save me a A140 Auto :bannana:

Me too! Maybe next time they'll give us a CLS or a SL350 loaner? Hmmm, don't hold your breath!

dieselman, I have 2 of their cars and the sales guy knew I was interested in the S320cdi (he kept saying it would not be replaced until 2007) I had doubts whether it would fit in my double garage it has 2 two doors neither of them very wide, so he gave me the car for the weekend, it was a hell of a squeeze to get the car in I had fears that sooner or later I would scratch the car. See the attach pic

Good morning Gary,
:D :D Happy days,
My old Royal Marine driving instructor would no doubt earn a fortune from you.

If we EVER, ever, DROVE into a parking bay or garage it was a three pence fine, two cars, two garages..... equals mega Jackpot. Wife tried the excuse of brick support prevented the drivers door from opening if she reversed into our old garage, but that excuse is worn out and no longer valid. ;)

One of his many pet sayings were, "Good drivers reverse into a parking bay, and drive out!" I reckon a really good driver could drive in, and drive out!.

(He also had a steel rod for drivers that would 'rest' their hand on the gear lever, or not depress the button on the handbrake)

Happy days.......... Sorry for going off topic.
John

Bye for now,
John

Hi john I,m x military as well, so I,m a lousy driver, when I got the S class into the right hand garage (its smaller (2") than the left one, my son helped me, the gap on each side was about 1/2" (rear wheel arches) pretty scary when the car is not yours.
