S124 Central locking problem

Where in Scotland are you ? Think I may have a couple of old actuators in my shed .

I'm in North Berwick.

Probably a bit of a trek over to Ayrshire , alas , although if you want to I'll check exactly what I have when I get home tonight .

I'm currently in Edinburgh today , taking my young son to see the Tornado locomotive , which arrived here about 1:45 .

It's due to return south , leaving Edinburgh at 16:30 , so I'd guess will be passing your way about five , if that's of any interest ?

I will post pictures of what I find in my shed later tonight - if any use I'm happy to post them to you .

Thanks very much. I'll be leaving North Berwick around 5pm ish and headed for home. I wont know which one has failed till the garage gets a look at it on Wednesday.

If the one I need is one you have and could post, that would be brilliant.

I'll keep you posted and would appreciate any pics or details of what you have

No problem , I'll post pics on this thread later tonight .

Rob , I did have a rummage in the shed last night , but it was late and getting dark .

I'll have another look tonight as I know they're there somewhere .

Hi Rob , a bit of daylight and a bit of further digging through the pile of boxes paid off !

Below is what I have , if these are of any use to you , PM me your address and I'll post them off - I'm not looking for anything for them , they've been lying in the shed for years ! I can't guarantee they work , but you're welcome to try them .

The part no on both units is the same 000 800 79 75

Thanks very much Derek. Are these the 2 actuators that sit in the 2 front doors?

The car's in the garage now. He's replacing the duo valve and I've sprung the central locking issue on him so hoping I'll hear soon what's up with the system.

It'll be great if it turns out to be a faulty actuator!!

Sorry Rob - I can't even remember which car they came out of - never mind which doors !

Let me know if they're of any use though .

With any luck it might just be a hose end which has split or popped off .

Thanks again Derek, you're offer of help is very much appreciated :thumb:

I picked up the car this morning and all seems to be well once again. As I understand it, he stripped and lubed one of the locks (I think the rear hatch one) but I was in a bit of a hurry so didn't have time to discuss with him.

Anyway, it looks like I dont need any parts for now
