Love the car Lee, looks awesome! I agree with the rear lights comment, I think it suits the car and shows you can do these subtle mods on certain cars without ruining it (or chavving it up). So is this one a keeper for a while?

I did genuinely intend it to be at least a six-monther but I've just been offered my dads friends 2011 RR Sport at the price he was offered as a part exchange so I'll be putting it up for sale very soon.

I can't see a RR sport offering you the same driving sensation as the E55, not that a RR isn't s good vehicle.
Shame to be selling after getting it looking so good and not enjoying the benefits for long.

The wife drives it at least half the time and she doesn't like being 'low down' compared to the RR Sports we've had. I love the car, it's a perfect all rounder, but the RRS I've been offered is a fantastic price, it won't need a penny spending on it for at least a year (famous last words!) so it'll be almost free motoring plus it'll keep the missus quiet. Win-win.

Cheers Simon, we both know that silver E55 estates are the best cars Mercedes ever made....

Ever the optimist, I keep trying to move the missus away from 4x4's so I can help save the environment and the like but it's a losing battle; once you put them in a vehicle where they don't have to stretch to see other traffic, there's no going back...

Don't get me wrong, the RRS is a lovely car, but there's just so many around my area. Unlike E55 wagon's which are a very rare breed indeed!!
