samsung blue ray player

I have had a Samsung blue ray player for a few years now and always worked well. But just recently it has stopped playing all normal DVD's. Comes up with message that no disc inserted. Plays blue rays fine. Have not played with settings to cause this and can find nothing in settings to rectify it. Anyone have any ideas or is it a case of buy a new one? Thanks

Try a lens cleaner disc, might just be dust on laser.

Thanks but did try that and still told me no disc

I had similar with mine. I ended up having to phone Samsung and they arranged my local authorised repairer to pick it up and fix. It took a few weeks but was worth it
