Thought I would post some pics of my newly refurbished wheels courtesy of the Wheel Specialist of Garforth Leeds.
I had not noticed that the wheels had been done before, and that the polished lip was actually painted and, well, not polished!
Unfortunately adding the polished lip bumped the price up from £300 ( 19" satin black finish ) to £600 ( 19" Satin Black with polished lip) - but eh oh! the wheels are now back to OEM finish / std.
I also take my wheels there for any tyres fitting - would not trust anyone else, + they only charge me a tenner! - great set of lads who have a true interest and passion for what they do and your car.

They look great

Where do you get your tyres from and what price?

Michelin on front and continental on rear?

Tyreleader and camskill are 2 cheap places to get tyres online?

£600 is expensive but if you're happy that's all that matters.

A friend just replaced one rear 19" black wheel like yours at Mercedes Chelsea and paid £600 including VAT for it. At least yours looks beautifully finished!

I have a tiny chip in the outer edge of each of my rear wheels and am told I need to shave off a layer of the wheel because it's diamond cut. Apparently the shaved wheel does not look exactly the same as before which puts be off but I don't particularly want to spend £1200 because of two small chips either. Were yours just repainted, or were they damaged and repaired or was it "shaved" as well? Would appreciate your thoughts.

With diamond cut wheels, it depends hugely on the amount of damage and how far it has effected the wheel surface.
If its not too bad then most wheel repairers can blend in the repair. If your unlucky and it needs a full " re cut ", then I am afraid that sometimes you may end up with a slight step on the surface, or they may take a full cut across the whole face. Expect to pay around £100 and upwards per wheel for this service.
My wheels had some very small dings right on the rim, and these were repaired and polished out.
These wheels are not diamond cut though, they have a polished lip. Who ever repaired them before though did a great job, as I could not tell that the polished lip was paint.
If I were you, take the wheel to a reputable company, the paint finishes are that good these days they can now match the diamond cut finish, almost!!, but as stated, it really depends on the damage!

Looks like a brilliant job.

Be interesting to see if they develop any 'milky spot' on the outer polished lip over time. I bought my car as a demo and they refurbed the outer lip, which I spotted at the time of purchase. I was concerned enough to pull out of the deal but the dealer promised that they would resolve the issue if there was any deterioration.

To cut a long story short, there was deterioration and I ended up getting a brand new set from the dealer :thumb:
