Scumbags :(

'Ey up.

Make sure you wear gloves then - so their cuts and bruises don't match up to any marks on your knuckles!

CCTV may work, but don't forget that they usually hood up, so getting a nice clean face shot is unlikely, sadly.

If all else fails a 12 gauge will do the trick.

We have had our house egged twice in the last 12 months. We have grilled the children but they don't know who did it.
Did you put the eggs on your children after you grilled them? I usually put Worcestershire sauce on children before grilling them for 5 minues each side. Delicious.

Speaking of 'scumbags'

Sorry, that could have been me. Many years ago I was riding my motorbike along the A1 at Mill Hill when a car pulled out sharply without warning, nearly killing me (thankfully a dry road and good brakes). When I'd recovered from the shock I rode past him and slapped his wing mirror to show my annoyance, but I didn't mean to knock it off as I did . He tried to chase after me, but a car on the A1 at rush hour is no match for a 1000cc Honda Fireblade :p

From one bike to another i've been there and done that :o

unfortunatley this was caused by some drunken person, who decided to walk down my road, damaging things

As long as you weren't parked partly on the pavement, you have my total sympathy. I lived near and worked in Wembley for many years and I seem to remember that pavement parking was illegal then, and presumably still is. Up here in the wilds of Cambridgeshire pavement parking is so popular I'm surprised Simon Cowell hasn't bought the rights. I often fold in the mirrors on the offending cars just to let them know they're annoyed someone, but don't deliberately break them off.
