The silver one.
Wifes W203 driver side seat belt is missing the little black button that stops the buckle dropping to the floor.

Cant seem to find them singly anywhere, e bay do a kit for about £30 which considering i am only going to use it once is a bloody fortune:eek:

Any ideas for a single one.

Get them from your dealer.

BTW if you have a smart dealer near you the little buttons are cheaper and exactly the same.

When you fit them if it is like my W208 you have to melt the end of the platic spike that fits through the belt into the rear of the button, touch from the tip of a soldering iron works well if yours is like this.

BlackC55 and flanaia1 thank for the replies i will give dealer a try monday, never gave them a thought as i assumed it was part of the belt and not seperate.

Thanks

A good dealer will fit for free if the car is in the workshop. Mine did.

Er no its a seat belt and to make matters worse it my wifes seat belt:eek:

Isn't this just the little plastic button that stops the buckle?

If so, my solution will have no effect on its safety.

I had this problem on my wifes picasso. I got one of those push stud things that come on coats etc and put it on the belt Worked a treat.

Solution could be the word. I don't think that you should allow any solvents/glues or other chemicals onto or in proximity to seat belt webbing?

You could be right.

I was thinking of 2 buttons with a small spot of glue in the centre of each. You'd need to be really careful.

This happened to a Freelander that I used to own. When I went to the Land Rover dealer to get a replacement 'button' they told me that they didn't sell them separately and I'd have to get a whole new seatbelt. I eventually used a 'push stud' like SliverSaloon suggested and it worked perfectly

Got one today from mercs not 32p but £2.10.

Happy as its another job of the list.

Easy to fit spiky bit through belt fit top bit melt spike job done:D.

Superglue doesnt like to bend and a seat belt bends.

My seatbelt buckle has fallen below the stud and won't pass through it easily on the rear middlle belt. Anyone have a quick solution in the event that I ever need to use it?
