Hats off to you that's a fantastic car, great thread. I'm not usually a fan of black cars but yours is one which could have changed my mind :)

Awesome thread, just a shame I can't see any pictures anymore, no thanks to Photobucket, any chance of any picture Jay, with the wider 12" rear wheels, thanks man, awesome build

What is Photobucket, ive seen it on other forums, seems a pain in the ass!

It was a free site to share pictures, then decided you need to pay, so everyone who has been using it over the years has to pay or the pics get deleted or blured

Thanks im glad its still getting new reads 7 years on!

The car is still in exactly the same shape and have done very little apart from my annual servicing.
Hi mate, just a quick question, i am about to undertake a replica conversion similar to yours, just wondering if you can shed some light on where to source tyres, only thing i can find is 335/35/17 which will probably catch on a 12" rear wheel, any suggestions or help, thanks man

Are the pics not hosted anymore?

Gone all the way back to page 39 and can't see any pics :(

Unfortunately hardly anyone makes 315s anymore, and even fewer people will stock them this side of the Atlantic. The same problem exists with 265/40R17 for 3pc AMG splits, there's no production anymore.

335 is Countach fitment.

In your opinion would you say 335/35/17 is a definite no no on a 12 x 17 wheel for a wide arch SEC

Given rim widths for that size of tyre are 11-13", so that should be fine.

Best be sitting down when you see the prices though!

Please post pics (on a new thread to avoid confusion!)

Widebody exterior, any engine mods? AMG interior (recaros etc?)

Will start a new thread on the build very soon, it will be done in stages but am collecting the car this Wednesday and collected the wheels yesterday, purchased the new 5" lips today and am ordering the replica wide body kit next week from Chaz, hopefully get the car stripped and in the garage over winter for the job. Will also be ordering the Recaro CS (i believe), a lot going on and will all come together in time.

Thanks... I have ordered some thinner tyres to see how that changes the look... Colour coding is easy, I can always do that later.

Hi Jay is it possible you can email or watts app me a couple of pics that were on this thread when the car had 335/35/17 tires, just wanna see how it looked before I purchase those tires, my email is [email protected] or my number is 07535 868849, thanks man, appreciate it
