Wrote a letter off to merc of exeter and merc uk, had a reply back from Merc of exeter saying the person involved has been delt with so on so on.
decided to give the bloke who phoned me a ring to see what was happening with my motor, the car should be back by the 24th of sept not bad seeing i only had the car for 12 hours and havent had it for almost a month. anyways asked the bloke about what happened to the person involved, it turns out that she was disciplined and that they are restructuring the front of house staff so she will probably be made redundant!! ha ha stupid snotty bi**h got what was coming to her. very tempted to go and pick my car up looking as scruffy as i can manage just to try to get a response from other members of staff there.

the drunk driver did get done for it as well which was nice

just typical as well my boss here at the nightclub had bought a 54 clk500 cabriolet. gutted!

i'll post a pic when i get the bloody thing back!!

laters, Mark

Result... :D - She got what she deserved.... and hope ur motor is is repaired nicely... no one has the right to look down on anyone or prejudge them just the way they are dressed. She would not have referred to an old man in a suit, grey hair as "the boy..."...

Glad to hear all so far has gone ok - hope they have done a first class repair and give it the good onc eover before collecting i..e paint quality, door/panel alignments etc. How much damage did it suffer (if you don't mind me asking in the actual accident?). You must be realy excited (longest 24HRS of ur life... ;) )

Looking around a Porker showroom in my youth, couldnt help noticing that a brand new 911 Turbo had overspray in the wheel arch.

Asked the salesman and he told us off the record, we dinked it getting it off the transporter

Glad it was not my brand new 70 grand car with a dodgy repair :D

MB of exeter suck
That's interesting because I was in Exeter recently and thought I'd buy a couple of parts. I waited 20mins. The parts guys had seen me, weren't doing anything else but wouldn't serve me. Then I figured out why when the sandwich van turned up outside. No way were they going to get stuck with a customer and loose their favourite sarnie
I still think MB in Plymouth are worse though.

Hmm, what is it about Exeter?

Never been to any other dealer than the one in Kidlington near Oxford and have had great service everytime.

The first was in '92 when I needed a part for my old 280SE. Although I argued with the parts guy over the relavance of the steering wheel position on my car (LHD) in relation to the part I was getting, they were more than happy to serve a scruffy 20 something with a then 16 year old car.

Last week I went in to order one of those plastic bolts that holds the spare tire cradle in place (the AA guy broke it last week, see other thread). They phoned today very politley, "Mr. Abc . . . your part is ready for collection whenever you can." Now that's service for a £1.50 part!!!!! :D My old Peugeot dealer would never even call to tell me a service was done!

Last weekend I went in with a friend who is looking for a CLK. We were both in jeans and a t-shirt but they still sat us down and got us coffee. I was wondering how she knew my friend was serious, and then she said, so you want one like your friend's? She had obviously seen us come in.
