First of all i'd like to say hello and that i'm new to mercedes ownership, my dad and brothers have had them for 10 years and I have taken in my brother's SL 350 for a few months as he is away.
I collected it yesterday, battery was gone down, so i used the emergency key to unlock it and it started frist go. I then drove it for 2 hours, however it was at night and i didn't know where I was going so I used the command and the lights were on.
Things that didn't / don't work are:
the roof
the interior switches for the lights
the reverse parking sensors
the lights also flashed under heavy acceleration, I thought it was a speed camera at first but it did it a number of times.
Central locking is only working when it feels like it now and the handle for the roof flashes when it doesn't lock but i press the key for it to lock
My mate has a garage and I used he's plates to collect it, its had a wash and being brought for mot and tax today, he's going to have a look at the electrics but he's very busy so I'm going to have a look myself as i'm pretty handy at that stuff, but after 10 years of hondas, i'm not quite sure where to start!
Thanks,
Killian
