Hi everybody,
I'm looking around for a rhd, year 2000 (facelift)/35K-ish miles/auto/silver or black 200 or 230 SLK.
Acording to Parkers, the private price for a 200 is £13,390 and for the 230, £13,995.
From all the newspaper, magazine and internet ads I have looked at, the prices tend to range from £14K all the way through to £20K (!!) from a main dealer, depending on mileage, auto or man, rhd or lhd and colour.
In reply to an earlier posting I made a few weeks ago, people said that I should be looking at £10K or £11K.
Just wondering where I'm going wrong? I can see loads advertised around the £10K mark, but they are all early 1997/1998 high mileage models.
Has anybody got access to Glass's guide who could definitively advise me on what I can expect to pay?
Places I am looking in are AutoTrader, Daily Telegraph, Desperate Seller, Exchange & Mart, Fish4Cars, Loot, Sunday Times and Top Marques.
Also, any other avenues worth trying? Don't really want to go to an auction!
