Hi Guys,

I have been hunting round the net For info/examples of this and i cannot find anything about it.

Currently I have my Secondary cats and Resonator removed and in place I have a Fabricated X pipe made of 2.75in Stainless (zero drone).

And it sounds Lovely and the volume is nice (esp with the roof down:devil:). But you really wouldn't even know that had been done if your just driving around town or idling.

BUT seeing as I find it hilarious that a tiny little car makes so much noise already I was wondering about removing that back boxes and replacing them with Pipe and using the stock tips on the end. So It will just be Primary cats - xpipe - tips

Has anyone heard the SlK55 without rear boxes? Even if it was done for a laugh just to see. If so will it just sound s**t

I personally think it would be too loud (and this coming from a bloke with a very loud car) but there's only one way to find out. :D

On another note, I quite like those wheels, they seem to suit the car very well. :)

I think with no silencer boxes at all you'd risk failing the MOT.

Method of Inspection
4. During all parts of the emissions test relevant for the vehicle, assess subjectively the effectiveness of the silencer in reducing exhaust noise

Reason for Rejection
4. A silencer in such condition, or of such a type, that the noise emitted from the vehicle is clearly unreasonably above the level expected from a similar vehicle with a standard silencer in average condition.

Well I suppose you are right. There are plenty of e55 vids from the states. Some sound ok other sound meh. But videos never really do it justice.

Thanks daveenty! The car has the P030 Package from the factory so they are just stock wheels. I had the colour matched to the red/black seats.

BTB 500 : If I had it done i'd do it in a manner that would aloow me to put them back on my self for just that reason ie flanges or such like.
