Hi Folks.

On my travels I have come across some SLK key rings. From what I can see they are pukka MBZ branded merchandise from maybe a previous years ''Boutique'' brochure.

I bought five, (keepin' one for me :D ) and today I am going back to the shop to see if there are any more available.

Anyone want one?

I'll be back after lunch, see ya!.

I'm at work :( so I cant post a piccie at the mo but I'll try to find a link. They are circular, about half way between a £1 coin size and a £2 coin size and maybe about the same thickness, chrome and satin, short chain about 1", about 1 and a 1/4'' hoop for the key/s, with raised SLK lettering.

Sounds good!! I'll have one  :D

Is it one of these? I have one, I got it free from the Dealer when I bought my car. I took the ring off to make it look better as I have the latest chrome key.

Pretty much so 'cept instead of the chrome star imagine a chrome embossed/raised SLK logo in the proper, as you see it on the boot, sort of type face.

Yes it can be but if you see a daffodil seller on your high st or in Tesco's, Morrisons etc that would be ok. PM me your addy and I will post one off to you. 2 left!

Portzy, may I start by apologising for any blushes, but I feel compelled to commend your actions as they are genuinely for the good of those around you - getting the rest of us a good deal, raising money for a very worthy cause, and having the trust in people that they'll do the right thing (and pop some money in the tin) that we so seldom see these days. An inspiration to us all...

Thank you Bobby D.

The truth is, as some of you may know, when I joined this happy band here it was not long after my mum passed away with the dreaded C and I was looking for some form of solace, if you can understand that?. Me and my mum were more like little bro' and big 'sis but with the always accepted understanding that she was my mum and she knew best.

She was my only parent for about half my life having lost my dad when I was 23. It was all very quick near the end and although we both knew for a long time that the C would be her undoing we both took each day as it arrived.

Eventually she was admitted to the Marie Curie hospice in Bradford and both her and me were humbled by the care she received. The inevitable arrived after about four weeks. So, even though I visit the hospice on occasion to donate and catch up with the folks there I often wondered what else I could do?

Being a Yorkshire man, with an eye for a bargain!, (I'm lightenin' up a bit now!), I often come across the odd thing MBZ related and, if I can pass on that good fortune to you good people plus cop for a couple of quid for the Marie Curie folks then hey!, my mum might just drop me a smile :D from where ever she is hanging out which, I think most days, is right here on my right shoulder.

Take care.

Portzy.
