SLK newbie

Hi everyone!

Recently purchased a 98 SLK 230 with full Brabus conversion.
Wanted one of these for a long time and really love the look of this one.
Got some small jobs which need doing (mainly servicing) and fit new door cards!!
Love to have some feedback on the history of this car if anyone knows it at all.

We have the face-lifted version.

They are a great car, watch out for rust under the wheelarches, leaks into the boot area which knackers up some electrics.

Cam position sensor, not expensive but difficult to get at.

Roof mechanism will need greasing, most likely will squeek/rattle as well, some reckon that an expensive German silicone will fix it.

Interior paint around the handbrake is easily scratched to reveal the black plastic.

Other than that our's has been a good car for the last 9 years.
