Has anyone here driven one of these?

I notice most of the journalists (EVO etc) don't seem to rate them that highly, is that justified?

I really fancy the power and am not too bothered about driving it sideways!

I have and it's rather skittish around its rear end!!! A lot of power going through those rear wheels/tyres!!! Personally I find the 320 is ideal - lots of power but not too much!!

I bought mine in January when I "down sized" (in terms of monthly leasing payment to no payment) from a new shape SLK200. For me this car is the "real deal", delivering Super Car performance at a bargain price both in terms of purchase costs and comparative servicing costs. The 0-60 accelleration is impressive but even more impressive if you let the V6 supercharged engine take you to 100 effortlessly. I'm sure will be the usual subjective moans about a Lotus being a more thrilling ride or getting a used Maserati for the same money etc but this car delivers on so many different levels for me. I can confidently throw it into a corner and come out the other side (will never risk taking traction control off :) ). It's also a rare car, only around 250 imported to the UK and those cars will diminish in time. Happy to answer any specific questions if you PM me. The reviews I found on the net when researching were all complimentary, one said it was a "lairy" sports car for Mercedes! MB Enthusiast also rated it better than the SLK55 AMG. Anyway, enough blurb, let he car do the talking....

I had a go in one and loved it.

The seats have an integral headrest though, and I think my muscular frame (read "fat") had difficulties fitting comfortably.

Journalists seem to favour razor sharp handling these days, and that's not what AMGs have traditionally been about - although very recently they seem to be trying to change things.

The SLK32 is a hot rod cruiser, drive it with that expectation and you'll love it.

Have a go. It will be fun. ;)

Just a thought. The Autocar review is a good read - you'll probably be able to pick one up on ebay.

That car has been there for a while so may get a decent deal on it. There is also a black one on ebay that has been on since I was looking for mine in Jan.

Thanks how long do you think the silver one has been for sale for? i'm sure it was originally 18995.
