SLS Gullwing - picture leaked!

I can see where your coming from Chris......bit of BMW Z8 reasr end.

I hope it looks a lot better in the metal but i dont like the look of it from those pics....:(

if those leaked pictures are real, then the SLS looks rubbish, utter rubbish

not graceful, not elegant, not cohesive .. just plain ugly

A few too many W204/W207/W211 parts in there for a £170k + car ...

R

Yes but Aston Martins have volvo sat navs, Bentleys have lots of VAG bits, and even Rolls Phanstoms have some BMW bits in there (and are there even in E46 3 series).

The MB parts bin is equally as good, if not better, than those and these are successful cars, at having proven parts means it will probably work unlike more "bespoke" products.

I like it and if had the money would sign for it in a heart beat.

Very much accepted - but it still would irk me slightly if I spent >£150k.

If you look at the SL, the visible parts were subtly different to the less expensive models or came from the S/CL, which I liked (ok, so steering wheel/airbag same as the CLK). Different story with the hidden parts of course, but thats fine.

Of course, I havent looked in the new S/CL recently, and it could be that the W207/W212 just look more like that now !!

I'd agree with you on this, you expect a notch above at least in the parts that you can see... even if the underlying mechanisms are the same, and proven, the visual gear should be a little more special.

Still looks amazing if you ask me:

I think it looks great. Can't wait to see one of these on the road.

Looks better in the later pics!

If only it had checked, cloth seats, fixed windows and no aircon like the original! :)

Still not sold on the interior center console, but the rest of it looks gorgeous. Anyone know any banks with particularly lax security anywhere? :D

It makes a great noise. :)

It all looks very nice, but isn't it a bit too much like most other modern Mercedes especially on the inside?
I've been in a real one!:D
Just hope there is a little more room in the modern one because it's only because I'm not very big that I fitted in this one!:o
