Smallish GTG at MBWorld?

I have spoken to "Caroline" (0870 400 4000) at MB World who said that someone woiuld call me back by the end of the day. I have kept the request simple in that we just want car park space allocated for 25 cars; if that can be arranged then we will see what other activities we would like to do.

I guess Malcolm has already gone this route but another request wont go astray and if more people hassle them then they might sit up and take notice

Will keep you informed but I have to go out now

She is away till tuesday and no else there that does events

Suggestion - we could meet at MB World (12PM) as arranged, then perhaps later on if people fancy something to eat/drink etc we could try the place in Silvermere? Can still get a coffee etc at MB World anyway :)

I reckon that it should be fairly quiet on a Sunday down there, the car park is huge so I don't imagine finding room for us to park together should be too bad.

Hopefully the first to arrive can try and park near a fairly empty bit if MB can't organise us something?

What time do they open on a Sunday? Is it worth a quick call on the day (in the morning) to ask if they could stick a couple of cones out?

Could say that we assumed Caroline had pre-warned them (no news must be good news eh ;):D )

They open at 10 I think. Is Howard going? He has a load of stolen traffic cones in his garage...

Yes will, we keep as is, as you say, and those that want something to eat we can go to Silvermere. thats also OK for the children

The coffee in the cafe at MB world is fine for a Mercedes cake and coffee and soft drinks.

I could bring a few cones and rope, and fence a section off and charge members here £5 to park

I agree about the Caroline bit :):):) that will bring out the best in me

Thank you

I did PM him the other night :), not sure if he's busy working or what have you?

I will add myself as a probable

Going to get my new 190 2.6 tomorrow night, then its going to Santa Pod on saturday to do soem baseline runs

Assuming it survives I will be there on Sunday :)

If however it doesnt survive there is no way I will be bringing the battered 2 tone SL and will withdraw quietly :D

Fingers crossed for you Mark :)

Would be good to meet up

Good luck @ Santa Pod, I'm sure if you look after her she'll be fine.

I hope that you do make it, always nice to say Hello

Was just thinking about this

I could always blow the dust off the turbo CRX and bring it out for a stretch of its legs, but that would be the 3rd or 4th attended with a Honda !

However it might drag Howard out :)

So, 12 midday, MB World car park. Look out for cones.

As stated earlier, if anyone is late, look for a CLK with a telephone number on it. Two options clearly present themselves:
1) Call the number and ask where we are.
2) Lick the tyres clean.

It is up to you which you choose. :D

GTG MB World - Result!

I have managed to arrange that MBW will cone off a section of the car park on Sunday for us. Look for a sign that says MBClub and an area of the car park ( probably a little away from the main entrance.) I have asked for 25 cars spaces
:bannana:
The contact at MBW is Hasiba from the events dept. NB there is a motorcycle Heritage meeting on at the same time so that may mean the car park is a bit busy.
I have said we will arrive between 11.45 & 12.15 which if you use the Comand or other Nav should be easy to target

I may not be there myself but hope to make it

Have a good day!

PS If I do make it Im bringing my Picnic!...that solves the food prob!

Suggestion:

Printout the MBClub.uk logo on the top banner and put it in your windscreen when you arrive ( with Avatar?) so MBW can identify you and each other can.

That's brilliant thank you.

Why does it always rain the day before an event, I have 25 miles of muddy roads to bugger up the car, then clean dry motorways when the car is covered.:confused:

You going tomorrow then Malcolm.

Its going to be wet all Sat but nice on Sunday

Local weather forcast is for showers, 30% chance of rain.

I will try and make Sunday, but would not be able to stay very long, Im busy in the morning, and have to go out in the afternoon.

Just to say hello makes all that difference,, it makes the MB club a much smaller place.

You cant be horrible to someone that you have met ;)
