Guess who's bored at home tonight, nothing better to do than fiddle with the Mac and report in.... :-(

Plugged the Sony video camera in through firewire and tinkered in iMovie for a while - absolutely excellent. An ****nal of impressive movie editing bits and pieces all thrown in with the machine! Wahey!
