Soft Top reviver for W124

Hello there guys,

Just need some pointing in the right direction regarding the cleaning of the soft top for my W124 Cabriolet...

Its Navy blue, but has got lots of green mildue around the bottom of the rear screen, also loads of marks where the birds have done their bit, not to mention scrape marks where iv tried to remove the Bird crap, overall its in good nick, I have heard that you can get shampoos & conditioners & cleaners, but would like too know which is the best through personal experiences....

The Autoglym fabric hood kit has the cleaner, applicator sponge and hood protector all in one box for about £20. It works and I highly recommend it.

What does your handbook say?

I have the original cabriolet supplement to the owners manual with all my other paperwork for the car, & all it seems to say is to brush off before wetting, then wash with mild detergent & plenty of lukewarm water, & wiping from front to back.....

Does not say anything in terms of products, even if it did, I would most probably prefer something newer as opposed to something from 1995 due to advancements over time!

This Autoglym stuff seems just the ticket, so wiil crack on over the weekend,& report back after!

The Autoglym stuff is the bizz. I used to use it on my MGF

I must say guys, after using the Autoglym stuff I am left very very impressed, never knew the soft top could be improved so much, looks cleaner, fresher, sharper in appearance....the fabric seems revitalised... the whole appearance of the car has been improved. Protecter is very good also, water just slides off now...
