Speaker sizes for W202

What is the best size for speakers in the front and back doors for a W202 C180? and also, how do you take the panel apart? The speakers I have now sound a little rusty and I may have to upgrade my Blaupunkt player due to the difficulties I've had with it trying to tune my iPod with the Cassette player

Hi,
Front doors and rear shelf i believe you can fit 6.5" speakers (with adapter rings) the rear doors are 4 something inches, but please get this confirmed.

I managed the seperate the speaker from the original adaptor so will try to screw new speakers onto it. they were just glued on. will save you £8+ on buying adaptors :bannana:

When you buying components, make sure the tweeters arn't too big as the ones I bought wont fit in there. I bought these from ebay

You dont need the speakers tobe too powerful if you're using amplifiers

My 124 took 120mm Pioneer items,,,, apparently made just for Mercedes. Trouble is, they fell out (Pioneer & Mercedes),,,, & they stopped making 120mm items.

I never did get a set.

They do look identical to the original items,,,,,
unfortunately, I've moved on since then, to a 211 item (seven speakers I think ?!?!)
