Special paints / undercoats.

I'm thinking of painting the two plexiglass 'decorative panels' either side of the rear screen on my R171 SLK. I have two new ones on order so I can put her back to original if needs be but:

The panels are black / smoke so what colour primer does anyone suggest to get as good a match as possible with the rest which is Iridium Silver. Also, while the panels do not bend as such there is, or will be, a certain amount of miniscule flex so do I need to use 'special' flexible primers or paints?

You will need primer for plastic and you will also need plasticiser for the paint.

the primer should be as close to the colour coat but as long as there is adequate coverage the colour coat should cover Ok anyway.
