Speed Limit assist retrofit help please?

You don;t have to re-align it to SCN code (i.e turn on the speed limit recognition)

If its not available in US, that could be because it can't read US signs or because MB are worried they may be sued if it shows the wrong speed limit (which they do sometimes) and then someone crashes etc etc

Oh so it is simply turning it on, not aligning the headlamps or the camera. Seems that it should be able to read the US signs, but would only make me laugh if it got it wrong. I really would like to enable it on my car just to see how effective it is.

Yes, because the camera is already aligned for your lane assist. However turning it on may not be so simple, it needs the data card updating and a load of SCN coding (using Star Diagnosis ONLINE) to tell COMAND, the Instrument Cluster, Camera, etc that it is there (well it needs that on the W204, so I'd imagine identical on W221)

I have a w212 e63 with 360 camera and lane assist so I will attempt to update the data card and scn code the control units and report back with the results.
Would you happen to know what the code is that would need adding to the data card please? And do you know the exact control units that will need scn coding please?

The process has now completely changed and it took us a huge amount of work to work this out. We can do it, but we have to do it on our workshop.

Need the VIN, but I suspect if you just have head-lamp-assist you don't have the advanced camera. If you have lane assist then you probably do though

For a 2012 pre facelift (just). e350 C.D.I. with Lane assist and distronic plus. Would it be just some coding via STAR?
