Hi all, I have a 2004 c220cdi w203 with the srs light on. I bought it this way and don't know anything about the cars history. If a passenger sits in the seat the light goes out and all is well. I don't want to change the seat pad, is there another fix apart from buying an emulator, maybe a resister or something. Thanks john.

If the seat pad is the issue, you really should fix it (could be just broken wires under the seat). If you do not want to spend any money on new parts, don't go for the emulator option (not only because you would be spending some money on parts but also because you cannot be sure that the airbag deploys when expected).

Instead of an emulator, better to have the SRS control unit coded for "no seat-pad". Then you can be sure the passenger airbag works when needed, although it would deploy also when there is no front passenger present (making it much more expensive to fix the car compared to fixing the seat pad).
