Does calipers from newer MB's fitted with electronic SBC component work on older Benzes say w202 w208 w210 with standard calipers?

If The newer style SBC calipers works on older benzes, is it necessary to include the SBC electronics or can these calipers work without SBC electronics?
Excluded?

I know these calipers had many problems!
But they have more pistons for better and smooth braking!

Where SBC brakes introduced in the new E-class 211 from 2003?

C32 AMG from 2000 to 2003 didn't use this braking system?
Anyone with good info?
Thankx

Hi Are you just looking for bigger better brakes? You could try front calipers from a w220 there made by brembo and there 4 pistons each side as for SBC i think the calipers are the same but would need to examine them to find out for sure but in theory you sound right!

well I was curious if these SBC brakes would work on a C43 AMG 1999?
There were problems reported about these SBC calipers at the beginning when they were new!
There might be risky business using them on a w202?

I guess these calipers will add a lot of weight to my car since they are huge?
My original ATE/AMG calipers are tiny compared to SBC versions!

Question is would these calipers bolt on, on my original 334mm front rotors?
