The dreaded sub frame .

Hi all,

I know it seems hit and miss as the what dealer are doing sub frame replacements under warranty, but mine suddenly went this morning on the way the work.
Suddenly felt like the rear was made of jelly.
Has anyone had success with any Kent dealers?
I'm based in Ashford.

Your closest MD either near your home or work. Just book an inspection and they should do the the rest.
My guess is all MD will have had a brief or bulletin and act accordingly.

Yes I know that, but some dealers are more accommodating than others.
Hence my question "Has anyone had any success with Kent dealers"?

Shop around MB dealerships if you get rebuffed at first- also ask if the dealer has immediate access to stock of replacement frames

I don't know the answer to you question, but just to say that if the car had a dealer service in the past 12 months then you can call Mobilo roadside assistance and they'll tow it to the nearest MB dealer for you.

Like you, I'm near Ashford so nearest main dealer is MB Ashford on Orbital Park. I had dealings with them a few years ago about the peeling lacquer on my S204, took a while to get the inspection etc but MB customer service offered little or nothing towards rectification so I ended up paying Vivid Visions on Henwood to respray bonnet and roof. Please update this thread with how you get on and where!

I recently had 2 x Nox sensors replaced FOC by MB in Maidstone. The service manager went out of his way negotiating with MBUK to get authorisation.

Thank you, It is Ashford MB (Lookers) who have it booked in on 22 March for assessment.

They didn't seem at all flustered by my request, I mentioned I'm a service manager myself (trucks) so understand the warranty process.
Hopefully that will stop them trying to fob me off

Well after 4 week wait I have my car back with a brand new subframe supplied and fitted free under warranty.
The fitter also soaked all the underside with Waxoil.

Reckons it was one of the nicest old cars he's ever driven

Yes that was in the Ashford branch
