Hi Guys,
As well as being an SLK owner I am the Organiser of a Charity Motoring Organisation called Club Le Mons and this year, we are organising the first ever Roundel Run, a car and bike run which is an integral part of the Biggin Hill Festival of Flight (in Kent), commemorating the 75th anniversary of the Battle of Britain.
The event itself is part ‘run’, part ‘car show’, as it involves driving from Brooklands Museum – we actually get to start under Concorde, via various historical locations to Biggin Hill, in front of 18,000 people, before parking up for the ‘show’ part. We’ve already got an eclectic mix of cars registered and everyone is getting very excited about the spectacle we are going to create.
All proceeds go to charity and I thought it might be of interest to some of you guys, especially those in the South East.
All information is available on our website, www.theroundelrun.com and you are able to apply for inclusion on the run there. If you can't do the run there is also a great offer we negotiated for 2 people to show off their car in the showground for only £25, a saving on two adult tickets!
Would be great to make sure I'm not the only guy there with the Mercedes Badge on the car!!!
Regards,
Neil
