felt an annoying vibration from rear of car between 70-80 (wasnt speeding orficeer!) so took car to kwik fit to get wheels balanced, kept me waiting for ages but balanced all the wheels, replacing ugly hammer on weights with stick ons. i didnt complain for the wait and as a result they didnt charge me, i guess they get a lot of irate people in there complaining a lot so when someone doesnt they are really helpful. took the car down the motorway today and seems a lot better but still not perfect, any ideas what it could be? a slightly buckled wheel?

Don't foget that no two wheel balancers are the same.

I have had to try various balancers before being happy with the result. Funnily enough - Kwikfit sorted the wheels on my 190e - better than anyone else!

I had a buckled tyre once, it might be that although the Kwik Fit guys should have noticed it. Could you jack the car up, spin the wheels and look for deformation?

Mine used to vibrate a little at that speed..... until i had the lower ball joints changed. What a difference indeed!
