TMC on a new ML

I wasn't going to write to ask why the TMC on my new ML doesn't work as there are many posts about MB not having a licence etc.

However I used my Dad's '05 S class this week and his TMC works - and is great.

So whats wrong with my ML ??

I have DVD v6.1 by Tele-Atlas & on the case it confirms that TMC is included (you can get some map discs without TMC and they are normally cheaper).

You also need to ensure it is switched on as 'Dynamic Route Guidance' on the map screen - there is an option there to switch it off, which may be the problem.

It works fine on mine, no issues at all.

i assume are tuned into classic FM on both cars, Classiic sends out the data for TMC.

In my Dad's S class we weren't either

you dont need to tune into classic fm. the system does it for you and it takes the digital signal from it. it doesn't retune your radio into it.

you need to look into the settings and see if you have enabled TMC. Your handbook will tell you how to do it.

aparant;y I have the wrong DVD - even though it is the one supplied with the car - as new - in March !!

I got V4 with the car, get it swapped FOC and dont take no for an answer. I now have 6.1 no charge. Good Luck.

Hats off to MB of Worcester - without any problems they sent me the updated DVD - and they made sure it was version 6.2 and not 6.1

TMC works in all its glory - thanks MB of Worcester.
