If you missed it, you must watch tonight's Top Gear on iPlayer! A serious SLS advert! Excellent TV! :)

Santa!!!! I want an SLS.... I've been good, honest!!! :D

I thought it looked expensive in tyres

it was the prettiest though

It sounded awesome, but other than that I'm not sure it was such a good advert. Good fun to watch though.

it needed four wheel drive or a smaller engine

IMHO

Overall a good program :thumb:

seemed to lose traction even in New York, give me the 911 any day :)

I enjoyed the show though, especially the digs at ex-stig :D

Bit same old for me - and I'm a huge fan of the programme. The present exchange with the tree fire was too staged - and not especially funny either. :o

lighten up, it was good entertainment for a tuesday night, just what i needed after a sh*t day at work!

I liked it, it's got me looking at a Porsche again (granted it would only be a 996)

What a coincidence. I'd had a great day at work, and just what I didn't need was a sh*t night in front of the TV. ;)

(I really really want to like Top Gear, but it's getting harder and harder)

Is it not a car programme?

Not any more.

producer Andy Wilman you may remember infront of the cameras years ago, ( obviously rubbish and Jezzas best mate)
I get the impression they all love themselves more than anything else.
It is all a bit too contrived these days.
But hey its all we get for petrolheads.

Not a good advert?? But it was clearly the best for drive-by shootings!! :D

I had two very loud children trying to eat my dinner whilst I watched it.

Yes the tree fire was a bit rubbish - looked like it had a gas rig attached given that it went out some time after the pussy stopped pouring.

Still, better than watching Eastenders, Judge John Deed, or whatever else would be on tele.

Thought the SLS looked out of proportion, and poor traction. Ferrari was as Americans say awesome. Porche - too much track car looking.

As for show - well you know what you're going to get. Ego over substance; but no one is forced to watch it. Well not yet. :)

What was odd about the SLS was it looked like it was a computer simulation in silver, whereas the Ferrari looked great. I can't reconcile myself to the SLS rather inelegant looks - given it was modelled on the most beautiful road-going Mercedes ever made, somehow it just doesn't get it right.

Massive tail happyness seems to be a common theme when AMG's get reviewed lately... I'm wondering if there's a serious flaw at the AMG house? What do our resident AMG owners think? Too tail happy, or hours of endless sideways fun?
