Top Gear SLS advert! :)

I agree. I think you would worry every time you pushed a little through a corner that the torque would cause the rear end to lose grip.
It happens easily enough on my big old bus.

I've been lucky enough to drive several AMG's not just my own and you have to be bonkers to put the hammer down in a corner, or a very good driver with the confidence to correct the over steer. Fun and Fear go hand in hand with an AMG......

From what I saw of the SLS last night, every time you went to the garage to fill up with fuel you also would need a set of rear tyres in addition.

Frankly, I think that JC is a bad advert for what is a vehicle that must be treated with respect.

The SLS put in a fairly respectable lap time in on the Autocar test track, so I think it can be hustled around ok if treated correctly. Jeremy was doing his usual blokey act with it, which I quite enjoy actually, but I'm sure he could get it to behave if he really wanted :)

Is it not likely that he'd just turned off the SLS' traction control for comedic effect and to fit in with the pre-written script?

Of course! I don't think anyone was doubting this is what was happening....

Did you guys see the numbering/credits if you call it that at the end of the show. It obviously started with Jezza, James and Hammond bit also had "Emergency Stig" as Tiff Needall. Nearly fell off my chair with laughter. :D

Massive tail happyness seems to be a common theme when AMG's get reviewed lately... I'm wondering if there's a serious flaw at the AMG house? What do our resident AMG owners think? Too tail happy, or hours of endless sideways fun?

You might be right, but I think it's the crazy torque.
