TRAX 2014 Silverstone Sunday 7th Sept

Its not the cameras on the back of the gantrys you need to worry about anymore. 11th gantry south of M1 junc 13 southbound, there is a camera and flasher unit fixed to the left hand support of the gantry. There are no cameras on the gantry over the lanes so its easy to think it is safe.
The camera on the left hand gantry support is pointing across all 3 lanes at 45 deg to the carriageway, it does flash

The one Paul saw was getting people going northbound I think so I don't think it is this device as it only scans up to 5 lanes and is on the southbound...

I've seen something similar in the past - I think on the M25. A camera randomly flashing when no one was speeding.

I reckon it could be that as that was this morning.

There is one near Clackets at the moment that seems to be "active"!

Big :thumb: to Alps for organising this again. It was a great plot and thankfully it stayed dry and the sun properly shone. I got plenty of sunburn on my ever increasing spam-head!!

It was a really good gathering at S Mimms bright and early this morning. This car lark seems to be increasingly involving silly o'clock morning starts, all worth it of course.

Plenty of the motors were making some glorious noises. Cliff's Brabus SL, sounds immense! Sav's would now wake the dead:D Nice convoy even though we lost JohnEBoy almost straight away and we hadn't even joined the M25, he soon caught us up though:doh: also nice surprise to meet The_Don en-route.

Good to meet up with everyone again and nice to meet some of the guys that I hadn't met before.

Thanks for posting the pics guys, some great shots:thumb:

Thanks mate! Yours was looking great, extremely clean too! I know, I didn't stay that late today as I had to get back as I'm going away in the morning. I'm looking forward to the next meet and hopefully getting to know everyone. Also, great pitch, Thanks Alps.

I would like to repeat what has already been said about the organisation of the day:thumb: Top work Alps.
And now on to the transport! It was my first experiance in an AMG of any description thanks to Suky:D And WOW F*****g amazing:eek:! I think the saying "going like a scolded cat" was invented by an AMG passenger the acceleration was phwoar the sound is yeaahh and the ability of the CLS to get around the bends at those speeds was eye opening for such a big and extremely luxurious car! I am gob smacked at how the CLS AMG gets down the road:eek:
I NEED THIS IN MY LIFE.
Thanks guys.

Tony.

Great day. Lovely weather. Thanks alot Alps. Nice to put a face to the name.

Was good to meet old friends as well as making new ones :thumb:
I didn't get time to meet a lot of you :o but my little pistonhead kept me busy

Thank you to all that made it and hopefully it'll be a bigger turn up next year

The spot spot was greater than ever, thank you Alps for everything

Simon, your estate looks amazing (There's no point in saying how good Rashman's car is, its a given)

Alx, good to see the beast and it is truly a testament to all the hard work you've put into it.

Chris's car was drawing a lot of attention with all the Weistec gear in it.

Andy, really like the ML, agree about the wood; but it was good to catch up with you.

Cedric, was good to meet you again and have a proper chat this time.

Bruno, glad you had a nice time in France (apart from the incidents with the French) and hearing about it in person is so much better than reading about it :D

Same here Suky - I had a hangover and the 4.45am start from home wasn't ideal! On top of that as Steve has pointed out I've got a sun burnt slap head:doh:
