Trouble with my W203 fan power knob....

For some strange reason in my C220, if i want hot or cold air blowing out and i wont to feel it. It seems that the fans do not work unless i have it 3/4 of the way or all the way on :/ which is slightly annoying when youre trying to optimize the air temp whilst driving on the motorway. Has anybody else ever come across this problem?

yep it happens in my C220 too! Mist thecar when it rains and demister has to be put on! Dangerous. I would like to know if this is normal on a w203. Any cure?

What year car is it?

I have a late 04 facelift model and the dial certainly has to be past vertical for the air to noticeable. It does work at all speeds though - if you direct the air to the facelevel vents and shut off the vent on top of the dash then you can feel it better.

Re misting, most people just leave the a/c on all the time. I don't do that, but if the weather is at all damp then it will mist up. Was out in wifey's Honda Jazz this morrning and that was the same - couldn't drive it with a/c off.

One thing is that if you turn the a/c off, it stays partially on for 10 mins or so, then you'll find the car will suddenly mist up as it shuts off completely.
