Trying to get insurance company to give me a quote for Brabus D6 chip

Hi

I just spent a very frustrating 30mins trying to get Elephant insurance to give me a quote for the additional premium of adding a Brabus D6 III box to my 320cdi. Surely they have done this before? Nothing that adds more than 25% bhp is allowed apparently. Now they will have to go to their underwriters and come back to me tomorrow. Any idea how much extra they are going to charge?

Well after almost a week of waiting Admiral got back to me. Another £180pa. I think that i'll give it a go and put it on now!

I asked about a d6s on my E350 - the increase was 6% which was not bad considering the increase in output is 16%. But it took them a couple of days to quote.
