Two Bucket Wash Method - Please Explain

stats that looks really good, even though i had a new paintjob, i can see swirls already from last time its been polished, any ideas of how i can get rid of them and bring out the new paintjob spotless look?

We have a guy who comes to the unit and does a wash and go on my CLS and a few others but I feel i should be cleaning the DB9 myself :o I then realised that although I did it a few weeks a go I didnt have a clue so can someone explain the best method - I assume two buckets is one a soapy one and one a rinser with gritgard ?

The other week I put my mitt in the washing machine and it shed all its microfibres and buggered the machine - Im not popular at the mo .....

How did you wash the mitt?, personally i put it in the machine wash at 30 degrees using a wash liquid with no conditioner but use cider vinegar instead, works good for me.

It was a CHEAP mitt made out of reconstituted paper (so it seems) I had it new and lying around I think the missus uses them to clean the barbie - anyway it shed most of its mittness into the washer and clogged the filter for ages. Im only JUST back on touching terms with her !!

The Aston goes in for its 4 day detailing in a few weeks, this is not the top service they offer but the top service involves polishing the underside of the car etc etc and Im not needing that.

I will take a lot of pre and post pics, I am expecting to be amazed and then once its done I will take it back every 3 months or so for a shine top up. The detail cost was allowed for when I bought the Aston and its £1k approx 4.2 days entire car.

The CLS needs a bit of love and I may see if I can get a paint only day rate from them as the rest of the car is mint, thing is the CLS looks good even with a basic wash whilst the (my) Aston looks really poor all the time at present.
