Following on from my posting about the duff caravan tyre http://www.mbclub.co.uk/forums/ot-o...anners-eyes-only-were-getting-new-one-33.html I need to think about replacements.

The originals were 195/70 R15C 104/102R which have a load rating of 900kg each. The rolling circ of this tyre is 1985mm according to the Conti website.

Since my 'van weighs 1700kg fully laden this doesn't give much of a safety factor and I can increase that by going up to 205/70 R15C 106/104R giving me an added 100kg load limit at an increase of the circ to 2027mm (or 10mm diameter on the 195). In the scope of things the price difference is only £14 the pair so of no consideration.

What does the team think?

Should be fine, the taller tyre on the van wont effect anything that I can think of.

Me neither, unless you have ATC on the caravan (ESP for caravans).
