Urgent - rapid oil leak c63

You would know about it a long time before the engine seized.
If you continued to drive it would be your responsibility.

Push them hard, that will be a bumper off job plus the oil - so could be pricey.

All fixed for £186. I need to follow up with the dealer that sold me the car to see if they'd like to pay for it.

If you bought it used in September last, I think you have a solid case against the dealer that it was not of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose. However, you should have given the dealer the opportunity to repair it.

Goodwill may do the trick; after all, the bill was less than £200. I dare say if you could afford a 2010 C63, you're not too fussed about so small an amount anyway...

I bought it a long way away from home and it was recovered to nearest dealer. However, the supplying dealer has called and is looking into MB goodwill since the car is not very old.

Re affordability - yeah, it's only a couple of tanks of fuels' worth but if I forked out a premium once and in the first place then I shouldn't have to soon again.

Agree totally. What I meant was, if they dug their heels in and refused to meet the bill, how much fuss would you be prepared to make? Not much, I would have thought, over so small an amount.
