V Power Petrol Prices

It wont make a blind bit of difference if it keeps going up the 5p will be swallowed up by the end of the week

Prices are starting to creep down around my area......needless to say at nothing like the rate they went up. Garage across the road from my work dropped 2p per litre on petrol and derv over night......still 179.9 for diesel though!!

Diesel competes with Jet A1 (comes from the same part of the barrel), which I guess is in demand elsewhere right now…

I came back from Dubai on Thursday... prices have gone up there too.... up from £0.56p a litre in Feb to £0.60p in March!

Guess which one I wanted to put in 😑

Shell doing what they do best - professional daylight robbery.
They do what every business does: charge what the market will stand. With other fuel providers out there, motorists are free to vote with their wallets.

Possible drop in oil prices with Shanghai introducing another lockdown and demand dropping.
Hopefully this will filter down to a drop in fuel prices too eventually.

The likes of Esso BP and Shell still much higher per ltr than Tesco and other supermarkets.

It's gone up here , monopoly madness .
Probably supply issues thanks to the Eco lunatics.

Honestly, when the hell are the government going to get really tough on these idiots?
Bring in the Fire brigade, give them 30 seconds to move or hose them off the road. Job done.

Totally! I wonder how they'd do without fossil fuels... no i phones, no EVs, farmers unable to grow their vegetables....

Topped up yesterday, helpfully had £3off. South LondonPXL_20220410_100906690.jpg

Momentum £1.71 at Tesco today.

Filled up locally on Sunday @ 163.9p for Momentum 99.

Have used the GL63 quite a bit recently, in fact I just worked out I’ve used just under £600 in a week in petrol. Have used V-power for most of that and now back on Momentum 99. I really cannot tell any difference in performance, smoothness or mpg.

Last fill at Shell on Friday was 185.9p/litre, about 13% more expensive or an extra £22 a tank in real terms.

I’m happy I filled up though as now it seems as if supply issues are becoming a problem locally. Certainly whilst I was away I passed a Tesco fuel station that had no Momentum 99. Shell didn’t have that problem but maybe the price could have something to do with that also! :dk:
