V Power Petrol Prices

Filled up locally on Sunday @ 163.9p for Momentum 99.

Have used the GL63 quite a bit recently, in fact I just worked out I’ve used just under £600 in a week in petrol.
o_O Wow. I couldn't sustain using that amount indefinitely.
£600 would last me 6 months at my current average mileage.

Went to another tesco from the usual... the lady working there told me they haven't had momentum for nearly 8 weeks 🤷‍♂️

I don’t use the ‘63 daily, so fuel costs are not a huge worry in general.

I did quite a few miles over the last week. I’m not sure exactly but I suspect based on consumption/fuel costs (say 18-20mpg and £1.75-1.80/litre average it would be close to 1000 and started off low on fuel and now have almost a full tank left.

It’s about £170 to fill up on average so £600 is about three and a half tankfuls, that’s all.

Any car will cost a fair bit in fuel these days. I guess the GL uses quite a bit more than a small car but that’s to be expected.

Take the cost of fuel for a regular car, and say it was half that of the GL63, it has only cost me £300 extra. That’s man maths, but this has been a good reliable car and has cost me very little over the last three years aside from servicing and tyres.

I suspect that it’s also retained a reasonable chunk of value compared to say a diesel equivalent, and no ULEZ/clean air charges to pay, likewise petrol is cheaper than diesel, engines are more reliable in general etc

Are you trying to convince yourself or us 😂

I agree with your logic entirely 👍

Topped up yesterday, helpfully had £3off. South London
I've seen it all now - 177.9 p/l in our nations fair capital and yet I paid 179.9 p/l for Esso Supreme in a small West Midlands town last night

£1.80/ltr today.

I tell a lie, it was actually £1.799.

Why don't they just say £1.80

Everyone loves a bargain, those 0.1 pence add up! 😁

I’m sure that years ago I used to see prices ending at it’s a 7, like 177.7p but or am inn no imagining that?

Your maths is letting you down. You actually saved 5.7p. Don't spend it all at once...

£1.919 today. o_O

V Power is £1.94 in South Shields. First time ever it's cost me over £100 to fill up.

Great for my circa 90p equity stake in GKP -

Plus my Centrica and Shell positions.

Its been 1.999 v power diesel in essex by me for 2 weeks now

Wow, people are still paying for V-Power Diesel!

I ran my car exclusively on V-Power since I purchased it, but now I'm just getting the cheapest stuff I can and mixing in a generous helping of Redex when it's on offer for £2...
