Very wet M25 this evening...

I've only aquaplaned on a motorbike, but the weather was rough this last week.

It's rained solidly for a week, after months of above average rainfall, there are large quantities of standing water (my road is currently flooded through blocked drains) and spray is a huge problem. However last night had no 50 mph winds to add to the mayhem and rain was light.

The number of idiots who continue to drive as though it is a bright summer's day remain a nuisance to others, sadly not enough to themselves.

The big surprise in Kent (according to the BBC News) is that houses, towns, villages that have been built on "Flood Plains" are... well FLOODING. Great irony last night as a sodden news presenter was filmed next a half submerged road sign bearing the legend "WATER LANE"

So what we learn is that Flood Plains Flood and anything on them floods with them. Evolution at it's finest.

The good news is that falling trees block the views in Stood, thus improving the area.

Bloody hell, the M25 certainly has grown since I was on it on Friday night!

Not only does Charles Morgan now reside on it, it is also in S. Wales now.
