Video adapter to add dvd player to W203 comand....

I have a 2005 C270 that im about to add comand to and wondered if anyone knows of a good video adapter i can use that will trick the comand into thinking its a TV tuner so i can add a dvd player to it?? Cheers...

I used one of these for my comand 2, there are versions for the different comand systems

Are you sure your COMAND even has the video connector (green FAKRA(?)) and circuitry required for video? IIRC not all (very few in fact) COMAND-APS are physically able to display video?

The interface I used emulated the TV. and worked great until the audio amps on comand started to fail. there are pics on the other forum showing the display as fed from a security camera

You need something like this MERCEDES-BENZ -- Multimedia Interface on eBay (end time 19-Sep-09 14:03:15 BST)

or google NavTv, they do interface devices for NTG2 Comand APS.

FYI there is no point looking into this unless you have a green Fakra connector on the back of your unit.
No Fakra = No video, simples.

According to Merc Upgrades website list of Comand APS part numbers for the W203 they all had video input until sometime during 2007 and the only part number that does not have video inout is A203 870 71 89 which is also the latest part number produced. The site says all earlier models of W203 comand have video input so i bought the last model that has video input which according to the site is A203 870 62 89.

Hopefully its correct, soon find out when the Comand turns up.....!!

Even with the green Fakra connector I think the Comand unit has to be told via STAR that it has a video input.

I tried sending a composite signal from my phone into the green connector to no avail.
