Love the SM - it's one of those cars I've always wanted but should probably stay away from to save self from terminal disappointment....never meet your hero's and all that!

I've kept meaning to go to Ashby Folville and looks like I've missed the boat as the event has now been cancelled due to anti-scioal behaviour....such a shame but you can always trust a bunch of f*ckwits to screw things up for everyone else

I thought you were going to turn up last night...a brace of SLS would have nicely matched the SL55's.

The last incident at Ashby Folville was a biker pulling a wheely when leaving, came off.

The Police said... No More. Hence the Manor is a bike free meet.

It was a good night last night, very social.

For a bit of fun, I got the Girl in the Austin Seven to start it by hand, which she achieved and was pleased by doing it and the last words I heard from the Mini crew was a fellow saying to his Wife...C'mon, I want you in the back of my pickup, now...!!??

That Yank pick-up with Jim Beam painted on the side was in Doncaster up until very recently...

I suspect it must be another, or was "just visiting", it's been a local Rat Rod for years.
Ray's 190-SL recently won Car of the show at a decent sized event. All the classes had been called and he'd won nothing..then BAM...Top slot...

Some are pretty ropey now, I'm driving mine back from a full gearbox rebuild and front disc and drive shaft replacement in Holland now (well, at a hotel for the night) and after a full engine upgrade (modern ECU, sensors, injectors and bespoke map) and suspension overhaul frankly it is now stunning. If you are ever nearby, always happy to show it off - it is genuinely a great car.
