Can anyone tell me what size the tool is i need to remove the oil filter on my Vito 109cdi 06 reg i was told 36mm ????

Not sure for certain, but most everything is 76mm (My sprinter and S210 are). You can buy the 76mm cup filter remover from Halfords for around £5.
