I have a Vito 109 CDI which won't rev past 3,000rpm, is down on power, and has stored a fault code relating to the EGR valve.
I've had the valve off and given it a clean, but as it's electronic I'm assuming it's something irrepairable.
Now, after being quoted £250 plus vat from Mercedes for a new one, I'm wondering if anything can be done to repair the original one, if there is any way to remove or bypass the valve, or if an egr valve from any other vehicle from Mercedes would be the same part?
Any advice greatly appreciated.
