W123 is the end nigh?

Time for a W123 buying group :o)

Commissioning short runs of things like side window seals for a start!

I'm assuming you mean the outside horizontal seal that rests on the glass just above the chrome trim?

IF you have one, an Inside seal can be modified to replace the outside seal.

The Inner seal has an 'S' shaped section The Outside a 'n ' shaped section.

Just need to carefully cut the unwanted part of the 'S' section off....

OK its not a Perfect solution, but much better than a rotted, cracked seal leaking rain into the door!

Good advice there.
I am mystified why, having been a forum member for over 4 years, replies to ALL my posts are 'somewhat limited'.
Am I doing something wrong? :ban:
Or is it that methyl esters are viewed as 'persona non grata'?
Looking forward to your lack of responses!:bannana:

Having been a member for some time here I would say you are posting about the wrong stuff.

You need to get over to the OT section & post about US elections, communism v capitalism, black oil in diesels, insurance quotes from robbing barsteward ins. companies, train guards, suits, ties, pet hates & (I'm betting) eggs.

Cars are dull. That's where all the action is now.

Don't forget faulty gas boilers.

Got it in one, i had not realised that the seals were not connected. Have decided that when the camper is on the road I am going to push it into the garage and gently tease the window out. The seals look okay but water literally pisses in to both the rear wells and I regularily have to poke through the grommets to let the water drain out.

Have drilled out the horizontal trims and re-riveted with silicon sealent to make sure it was not coming from there but it is still coming!

Leaks from the sunroof and also from the front passenger footwell down the side of the dash I think :o
