Hi, could anyone possibly help me out with a definitive answer as to whether you can "convert" the rear seat/bench from 2 seats - to a 3 seat bench ? would the rear seat/bench from a regular w124 fit straight in, in-place of the 2 seat arrangement the 500e originally comes with. Any help would be appreciated. Cheers :thumb::thumb:

(I might be selling my CL to get a 500e only if I can do the rear bench/seat conversion)

I think the big issue will be matching the leather, I may be wrong but I think it is only the sportline seats that come with the same perforations. Other than that I cannot see why it would not fit. (And people would probably be prepared to pay a small fortune for the one that comes out of yours!)

Yes you can,is a straight fit and If cream,I`ll be happy to swap

My rear seats are mint, looks like no one has ever sat in them. If yours are cream and in good condition too, im more than happy to swap with you too :)

Yep, the 3 seat can be fitted - MB also did a bespoke cushion that fits in place of rear console that practically makes it the equivalent of 3 seats.

Whatever you do, don't lose the original seat cushions - if you ever come to sell, the car's value will be impacted if you don't have those items.

cheers
talbir
