W124 Coupe Comfort Control relay compatibility

I need to replace the comfort relay, took the case off and all nice and charred inside which might explain the electrical gremlins!

Part number is 124 820 32 26 - not many available and expensive

I read somewhere that this was superceded by 202 820 09 26 - more readily available.

Can anyone confirm if the 202 is compatible?

If I'm reading it correctly 124 820 32 26 was replaced by 202 820 09 26 up to chassis #921400 & then 124 820 48 26 thereafter.

basically the part no structure is chassis /group / version/part
according to this??? 202 820 09 26 will do the job.

Replacement comfort relay installed but....
Windows and sunroof only work when a door is OPEN!
With doors shut, the relay clicks but no windows or sunroof work.

Suggestions?
