Ive always felt like im sitting in the roof when driving my W124.

The seat moves back and forward, and there is a twisty knob at the front to raise or lower the front of the seat.

There is also a pull handle on the right hand side. In presuming this is to adjust seat height? I pulled it, nothing happened - when in or out of the seat.

Same problem , i am never happy with the seating in my 260e but i just drive on .I have said that merc seats are a part of the suspension .

When you pull on the handle, push back on the seat to lower it.

As stwat says. It is probably stuck through lack of use. Pull handle and push back with your feet between the pedals and should lower. This assumes that it is not already in it's lowest setting ;^) in which case pull handle with somebody in the back seat punching the seat forward with their feet and see if it rises.

My little turny adjustable wheel on the side of my drivers seat keeps falling off :( It there supposed to be a retaining clip in it or something? Comes off far too easy :(

I tried the push pull jobby but didnt work. I suppose its seat out time to have a butchers!
