Your friends client problem might be that if he goes " off piste" lighting wise he might end up with a better system, but if AUDI and BMW "take agin it" they won't give him any work! Remember these manufacturer guys are so **** they specify the exact tiles dealers have to use in their showrooms!

I don't think it's down to them so much, especially as it's independent. I know what you mean though: I was invited to tender for the lighting refit at Maranello, and after speaking to the lighting designer, I respectfully withdrew.

I've sent an email to the vehicle builders repairers association. Hopefully they can shed some light on this.
