The stainless steel(?) brightwork on my front and rear bumpers is mint with no rust bubbles etc. I believe this is a known rust problem area of this car - the rust comes through from the inside out.

Is there anything one can do to prevent this happening? I have had car waxoyled but wasn't sure what to do for the bumpers.

Tks

Having removed and replaced them on my current w126 If I found a good one I would take off the bumpers (20minute job)and make sure every bolt and caged nut is brushed with marine grease and then spray the bottom of the blades in waxoyl or something else, I personally use Dynax by Bilt Hamber...

i was waxing chrome inside and out with goose fat gets inside and stop corrosion
